Entrepreneur by day, social activist by night, and a globetrot by passion! I’m involved in experiential tourism, bespoke fashion, animal welfare, culinary and community empowerment, with a strong belief in sustainability. I dream of putting Bangladesh on the map in a meaningful way. My journey is all about making a meaningful impact while embracing every opportunity to contribute to my community and my country’s future

I’m Mishak Husain Ahmed, and my journey has been shaped by a deep passion for entrepreneurship, tourism, and community development. As the CEO of Secrets Bangladesh, my vision is to position Bangladesh as a global destination, showcasing its unique culture, heritage, and natural beauty through sustainable and experiential travel.
With Secrets Bangladesh, my work focuses on creating authentic, experiential travel opportunities that allow visitors to engage with local communities, understand the heritage, and contribute to the local economy through sustainable tourism practices.

In addition to Secrets Bangladesh, I’m also the owner of Oplay, a premium Italian restaurant based in Dhaka, where we offer an upscale culinary experience inspired by the finest Italian cuisine. The idea behind Oplay was to introduce a taste of Italy in Bangladesh, focusing on quality and an elevated dining experience. Another key part of my portfolio is Tiger Tours, a cruise ship company that envisions Bangladesh as a rising star in the global tourism market. Through this venture, we aim to tap into the country’s extensive waterways, offering travelers unique cruises and coastal experiences that showcase the beauty of the rivers and seas surrounding the region.
Coats & Collars, my bespoke tailor shop, reflects my passion for fashion and craftsmanship. We create custom-made suits and high-end clothing for discerning clients, merging tradition with modern design. I’ve always believed that clothing is a form of expression, and through Coats & Collars, we provide personalized services to our clients, offering them unique, handcrafted garments that tell their story.
My work doesn’t stop at business. I co-founded Citizens in Action Bangladesh (CiACT), a grassroots movement that arose out of a crisis in Dhaka, where my community was shaken by violence and unrest. In response, we came together to promote safety, security, and social well-being. Through CiACT, I’ve led projects focused on disaster relief, particularly during floods, mental health for victims support, community beautification, and even animal welfare. The group rapidly grew from a small team to a large network of dedicated individuals across various neighbourhoods in Dhaka. One of our early successes was raising emergency funds and offering medical aid to those affected by the August 2024 unrest.

Education has played a significant role in shaping my outlook. I graduated from Brunel University London and later earned my master’s degree from the International Business School of Budapest. During my time in Budapest, I was fortunate to study alongside incredibly talented individuals, many of whom I remain close to and continue to collaborate with. These connections, coupled with my experiences in over 50 countries, have given me a broad perspective on global business, travel, and sustainability. I’ve always been curious about how different cultures operate, and I’m constantly looking for ways to blend that knowledge into my ventures.
My life’s journey has been fueled by wanderlust, having traveled to over 50 countries. This exposure to different cultures, landscapes, and experiences has influenced much of my professional work. I believe that travel has the power to connect people, foster understanding, and create lasting memories. That’s why I’m so passionate about experiential travel, where visitors don’t just pass through a destination but truly immerse themselves in it—its people, its traditions, and its story. Through Secrets Bangladesh, I want to offer experiences that are more than just vacations; I want to provide travelers with memories that last a lifetime and help contribute positively to the communities they visit.
One of my current goals is to work towards country branding for Bangladesh , aimed at reshaping the global image of Bangladesh by emphasising its untapped potential. I see a future where Bangladesh stands out not just for its natural beauty and heritage but also as a country of innovation, talent, and progress. I’m particularly interested in promoting southeast Asia as a region of talent and equality, showcasing success stories of individuals who have overcome challenges to make significant contributions in their fields.
In the coming years, I hope to dedicate more time to curating social work and my personal initiatives, especially in the areas of helping children acquire appropriate education, mental health checks and ensure ethical tourism is practiced for community well-being, and to push forward with Secrets Bangladesh as we collectively redefine how the world sees and experiences my home country.
